TREC draws on many resources to define ourselves. We strive to create balance & synergy in the valley's economic landscape.

As stated in the 2019 Revised Economic Development Plan for Teton County, Idaho :

"A realistic economic growth strategy must acknowledge the economic history (“past”) and the underlying economic conditions of a community and its surroundings (“present”), in order to clearly identify where the community can be in the future." Simply stated, sustainable growth is a balance among past successes, current needs and opportunities, and future projections.

Mike Morey, chairman of CityPass, one of Teton Valley’s largest employers, wrote:

“I think your organization’s efforts are critical for Teton Valley. Over the past 6 weeks, we have added or are adding 3 new positions in Victor, all of which pay significantly more than the average income you have cited. The exciting thing is that these very talented and qualified people are available here. We very rarely have hired outside the Valley or Jackson. While your emphasis is recruiting businesses, I view your efforts as also indirectly improving and expanding the labor pool which enables us to keep hiring locally and to keep growing.”

While it is TRECs mission to support the economic sustainability in the community, the Teton Geo Center provides all the answers to why those efforts matter? At the Teton Geo Center, visitors have the opportunity to "walk" through the history of the Valley as well as be introduced to seasonal recreational activities and venues that create meaningful experiences.
