Boards have a role to play in ensuring their nonprofits have adequate resources to advance the mission, but what, exactly, is that role? What is the Board’s role as a group and what is reasonable to expect at the individual board member level? And, what do we mean by “fundraise?”

Similarly, Executive Directors have a role to play in ensuring the Board is prepared to participate in fundraising, support skill-building, and provide guidance on execution. But what, exactly, is reasonable to expect of the Executive Director?

Join us for skill-building and discussion about how to create a culture of fundraising on your board and a healthy and productive partnership between the Board and Executive Director that promotes sustainable fund development.

Specific topics we’ll cover include:

  • Clarifying roles and expectations
  • Specific ways the Board can and should participate in fundraising
  • Systems and processes to guide execution
  • Tips and tools you can start using tomorrow
  • Peer-to-peer learning
